Introduction

Welcome to T-Bud, an AI travel companion for personalized trip planning, local discovery, and connecting with fellow travelers (the "Platform"). The Platform was developed, and is owned and operated, by T-Bud (the "Company" or "we", "us", "our").

We are committed to complying with applicable data protection laws. This Privacy Policy ("Policy") explains how we collect and use your information when you access and use the Platform, and it forms an integral part of our Terms of Use. Please read it carefully.

The Platform is not intended for users under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children under the age of 18 or allow minors under the age of 18 to use the Platform.

The Policy may be amended from time to time. We will post any change to this Policy on our Platform a reasonable time in advance of the effective date of the change, and we will also make efforts to proactively notify you of the changes if we have your email address.

What We Collect and Why

Please note that when you use our AI chatbot, the information you receive is generated by AI models and not by humans. The chatbot is intended for general informational and assistance purposes only and should not be relied upon as a substitute for your own review and judgment. If you enabled access to your device's GPS location, we will also collect your precise location to provide location-based trip suggestions. We refer to the above information as "Trip Information".
Chatting with other users on the Platform Facilitating communication between Platform users Your Registration Information, and the content of the messages you send. Please note that you may chat with another user only if the "enable social connections" setting is turned on, and both users have waved at each other. Please use discretion when deciding which information to share with other users. We do not actively monitor or read your messages. However, we may review your messages if another user submitted a report about you or the messages you sent.

We will not share your information with third parties, except in the circumstances listed below or when you provide us with your explicit and informed consent.

We will retain your information for as long as you are an active user of the Platform. Thereafter, we may retain your personal information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, establish and defend legal claims, and enforce our agreements.

We implement measures to reduce the risks of damage, loss of information, and unauthorized access or use of information. However, these measures do not provide absolute information security. Therefore, although efforts are made to secure your personal information, there is no guarantee that it will be immune from information security risks.

T-Bud is the Controller of the database containing your personal information described above.

Additional Information for Individuals in the EEA and UK

Data Controller. T-Bud is the controller of your personal information processed on the Platform.

International data transfers. To facilitate processing your information through the Platform, and by our service providers, we will transfer your information to and within countries outside the EU or the UK, such as Israel. We do so under an adequacy decision or under the terms of a data transfer agreement that contains standard data protection contractual clauses with adequate safeguards determined by the EU Commission and the UK Information Commissioner's Office.

When you contact us with a request, we reserve the right to ask for reasonable evidence to verify your identity before we provide you with information. If we are unable to provide you with the information that you have requested, we will explain the reason.

If you are in the EU, then pursuant to Article 77 of the GDPR, you may lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority in the Member State of your residence, place of work, or place of an alleged infringement of the GDPR. T-Bud is providing the following additional information to its clients residing in the United States, pursuant to applicable state privacy laws in the U.S.

We do not sell your information to any third party, or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. Furthermore, we do not share or sell sensitive information.

We keep the personal information specified below for the periods described above under the "Data Retention" section. Following these periods, we shall ensure that the information is not accessed, except in extraordinary events such as legal disputes.

Filing Requests

Should you wish to exercise your rights under applicable laws as specified above, please contact us by email at info@tbud.app.

To verify your identity, we will ask you to provide additional information through a verification process in which you will be asked to provide us with two items of information known to you and to us.

Note: you may appoint an authorized agent to file requests to exercise your rights on your behalf. To this end, you must provide your authorized agent with written approval to do so. The authorized agent will have to present us with proof attesting that you authorized them to act on your behalf. Furthermore, we will require verification of your identity, as explained above.

Our Response to Your Requests

We will respond to your requests within 45 days (or within 90 days, where the law permits and we determine it necessary considering the complexity and number of the requests you have filed). If we take longer than 45 days, we will inform you of the extension within the initial 45-day response period, together with the reason for the extension.

We may deny your request in the following cases:
